Educational Consulting - Centropa
Centropa is an organization devoted to educating its viewers on the lives of Central and Eastern European Jews during the years preceding and following the Holocaust. It does so with films
based upon large interviews with real pictures and stories. It then supplements those films with access to the pictures, student study guides, lesson plans, international school connection strategies and other interesting ways of connecting schools on the topic of Holocaust education.
My job for centropa is as a consultant. I will spend roughly nine days each summer touring European cities with the program and working with educators from around the world on how to implement the story telling and technological techniques that Centropa uses into classrooms around the world. Additionally, I provide lesson plans (see attached), feedback on how the website and program can become more education friendly and how they can better display their new films, ideas and concepts to the teachers and schools who are a part of their network.
